Governor's remarks go down the wrong way

A first time Governor is under fire from a section of his ward reps for allegedly making disparaging remarks against them.

The county chief during a funeral in a nearby county is understood to have advised his counterpart who is under siege to ensure that he handles the MCAs well.

“Ensure you have a small budget for the MCAs , give them hand-outs and you will have peace of mind ,” the politician was quoted saying at the burial ceremony.

His remarks have not gone well with the grassroots leaders who now accuse the county chief of besmirching their reputation.
