Miguna Miguna speaks out on Kirinyaga Deputy Governor’s viral explicit video

Self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna has weighed in on the viral video of the Kirinyaga Deputy Governor being caught pants down with a woman.

Through his social media pages, Miguna condemned how Government is handling the issue.

The despots destroyed my home, abducted and detained me incommunicado but they cannot even charge and try me in court. Instead, they have tortured and removed me from the jurisdiction of the court. They spend our resources protecting perverts. https://t.co/2VKTEYYdvf

Peter Ndambiri, the Deputy Governor was caught in a compromising position with a woman on Tuesday, April 24.

He later apologized for what happened and defended himself saying that he was being set up by a gang targeting politicians for money.

I am a victim of a well-designed criminal gang that set a trap for me. They were armed to the teeth and their target was to kill me but I pleaded with them to spare my life. I'm alive by the grace of God," said Ndambiri.

Police spokesman Charles Owino said the police had not received any reports regarding the assault of the deputy governor.

"Police have not received any report concerning an alleged assault of the deputy governor of Kirinyaga County. Equally, the police spokesman has not issued any statement," he said.

There are several leaders including Gatundu South Member parliament Moses Kuria who condemned the video and asked Mr. Ndambiri to go to the police.

“I always say it is nonsensical to pay anyone so as not to give a story to the media. That breeds extortion and encourages criminal networks to thrive. It is a pity that the Kirinyaga DG did not immediately report such extortionists to the police,” said Moses Kuria.
