Sonko's strong message to Mt.Kenya leaders on supporting Ruto in 2022 speech leaves Kenyans talking

Nairobi County Governor Sonko left Kenyans talking with a speech about supporting Deputy President William Ruto in 2022. The governor, in a video posted on YouTube by MR.CEO explained that he understands that there are plans by leaders from Mt. Kenya region to swap their support for DP Ruto with someone else.

Sonko, while addressing leaders, among them the DP said he knows the plans by the central leaders to ditch Ruto and warned them from making a bad name for the entire Kikuyu community.

He narrated his political journey since when he sought a Member of Parliament seat, through the Senate and finally into Governor where he recounts he got support from the Kikuyu community.

The governor who barely a week ago allegedly said he knew of night meetings between some central region leaders to oust Ruto in 2022 maintains that the DP has already earned respect by working with President Uhuru Kenyatta in his terms.

Sonko’s sentiments raised several responses including;

Finally the truth is out. We know who's behind the fake news. Name and shame the devil.

I am not interested in your speeches, videos et al. Just because you speak of the cartels doesn't mean you'll get rid of them. You have NOTHING to show since you became governor. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! Nairobi isn't Eastlands or Runda alone.— Chef Ciiku Kabura (@CiikuKabura) April 1, 2018

i foresee @MikeSonko working with mheshimiwa Dp .

I guess you were misquoted, damage done already but the truth will stand. I wondered how you’d play the tribal card yet you got the support of all communities
