Why I cannot trust Raila Odinga

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is seemingly the worst politician one can swear their allegiance to in the Kenyan political arena. He easily forgets about his close allies and foot soldiers once he acquires self-gains from any political course.

He's on the record for betraying a series of his henchmen, maintaining a circle of only a few.

At the termination of the 2007/2008 PEV where a bunch of political injustices took place leading to the formation of the grand coalition government, William Ruto among others would later be dumped by the then opposition chief regardless of sacrificing to stage fierce political standoff in the Rift valley among other then ODM dominated areas.

Under the pretext of the journey to 'Canaan' by National Super Alliance (NASA) under the leadership of Raila Odinga, several politicians who allied to the NASA coalition have faced the fierce wrath of the government tools of power, including but not limited to self proclaimed NRM general Miguna Miguna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino just to name a few.

Working for Raila Odinga saw Miguna detained for a week, his house vandalized, and above all, it was the major reason behind his deportation. Hitherto, the former has never commented on the latter's deportation.

Miguna Miguna risked, among other things, his own life to swear in the 'father of democracy' as the People's President at Uhuru Park only to be abandoned at his hour of need. Miguna is solely fighting for his woes that befell him while mainly fighting for Raila.

The controversial member of parliament for Embakasi East has earned himself the wrath of senior Jubilee leaders while on the course to fight for the former premier. It's mainly because of Raila's presidency quest that the first time legislator has been gratuitously attacking the President Uhuru Kenyatta and senior government officials including Interior CS Fred Matiang'i.

The stinging criticism has seen the MP arrested severally, battling almost unending court cases and his overwhelmingly won parliamentary seat subjected to gambling- kind of a game.

The golden handshake of Uhuru and Raila doesn't seem to heal these. Seemingly, these lieutenants' grievances weren't part of the agenda that the duo discussed during the infamous Harambee House meeting. In my opinion, Raila Odinga can never be trusted.
