EALA position saves politician from alcohol

A candidate who was recently elected to be a member of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) should ‘thank’ his love for the bottle for enabling him to clinch a seat in the Arusha based parliament.

National Super Alliance (NASA) MPs who were at first against his bid admitted to Grapevine that an explanation by the man’s relatives that he had developed a problem with alcohol after staying in the political cold, made them change their mind about him.

The politician’s election last Thursday is good news to his family since he will now be engaged and busy, at least for the next five years before his term comes to an end.
