Mutahi Ngunyi- Why Raila should swear himself in

Controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi on 2 November said that National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga should swear himself in using the constitution of Kenya if he is man enough.

Mr Ngunyi also went ahead and said that Raila has no plan at all ahead of his ‘swearing-in’ on December 12, Jamhuri Day.

“For the 10th time I want to submit to the nation that Raila has absolutely no plan; he’s gambling with ideas. After 12 December, he will tell us to wait for the next big announcement and it will be a disaster. And this will continue until 2022 where he will declare himself opposition candidate, because he will do that. And to keep this momentum, he will treat the country to things we have never seen,” Prof. Ngunyi said.

Raila Odinga while addressing his supporters along Manyanja Road, Eastlands on 28 November announced that he would ‘sworn in’ through the People’s Assembly on Jamhuri Day 12 December.

?"I am not a coward, I will be sworn as president on Jamhuri Day, I am the legitimate president," said Mr Odinga.

Mr Mutahi dared the Opposition leader to take the exact oath from the constitution of Kenya if he swears himself in. He said by doing so, Raila will be judged as a man of history.

“Raila is using his swearing-in to raise temperatures. He will actually take a fake oath of office on December 12. If he takes the exact oath from the constitution, he will be judged as a man by history,” the professor continued.
