NO ZLATAN? Early team news ahead of Arsenal v Man United

Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium tonight in a Premier League clash that has been dubbed by football pundits as ‘Record-Breaking’.

Arsene Wenger substituted French forward Alexandre Lacazette at half time in the win over Huddersfield Town midweek and the new signing is set to miss the match.

Alexis Sanchez has overcome a minor hamstring problem and is in contention to play. Santi Cazorla is having the worst of seasons, sidelined with a long-term Achilles problem. Nigerian youngster Alex Iwobi could also be fit to play though reports suggest he had a minor leg problem.

Jose Mourinho made it clear that Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Marouane Fellaini will miss the clash. Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic has managed to travel with the squad though Mourinho is unsure if the midfield powerhouse is ready to play.

“Matic is a doubt. I hope he can but I cannot guarantee he is selected to go, let's see the feeling before the match, let's see the warm up, I hope he can, I want to, he wants to, but I cannot guarantee and Fellaini is not travelling with the team,” said Mourinho.

22-year-old left back Luke Shaw has also travelled with the squad to London.

According to Manchester Evening News, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitayran were not spotted with the travelling squad.

However, some sources say that the two have travelled with the squad and might even start against the Gunners.
