DP William Ruto scolds CJ David Maraga, linking him to NASA in latest tweet

Deputy President William Ruto ridiculed CJ David Maraga after reading the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) statement.

“The Judiciary has not and will never seek to direct other arms of government on how to perform their functions. In the same vein, we will not allow anybody to dictate to us how to discharge our mandate as given by the people under the Constitution. We want to state that the rule of law must be allowed to prevail at all times,” said the CJ, who read the statement on behalf of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), which he chairs.

The Supreme Court on Friday 1 September nullified the August 8 presidential results where Uhuru Kenyatta was declared president, citing that there were irregularities in the elections. The Court is however expected to give the full verdict on Wednesday 20 2017.

President Uhuru Kenyatta in his statement said that he did not agree with the verdict but he respects it and they were ready for the repeat presidential elections.

NASA on the other hand have said that they will be no election if their demands are not met. NASA Leaders had earlier said that they want IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and other IEBC officials who were involved in the August poll irregularities, out of office.

DP Ruto, after listening to CJ Maraga's statement, took to his twitter handle are said that the only missing in his "lecture" was NASA's popular Tibim phrase.

Most Kenyans, including popular politician Martha Karua did not approve of what the DP said. Here are their reactions;
