Kakamega Senator- elect Cleophas Malala was ignored at governor Oparanya inauguration ceremony at Bukhungu Stadium on August 21, 2017.

The seat for Malala was not reserved forcing him to stand for five minutes in front of the governor till he was considered.

He must be reminded of a Shakespearean gem on lateness; Better three hours too soon than a minute too late.

Mr. Malala, who arrived a little too late at Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya's swearing in ceremony, to his utter shock, realised there was no seat reserved for him.

"Why are you embarrassing me in a public function?" Malala asked Oparanya.

Not a man to go down easily in the face of disappointment, the fiery politician stood in front of the Governor until he was recognised and given a seat at the far end of the VIP row.
