Why Kimani Ichung’wa fits the bill to deputise William Ruto in 2022

The choice of Kikuyu Member of Parliament, Kimani Ichung’wa by the deputy president to represent him in the running mates debate that was never held speaks volumes of the kind of person William Ruto would prefer as running mate.

Just like the deputy president, Kimani Ichung’wa has been vocal in defending the Jubilee government even when critics are hot and fiery. This brings out the attribute of a loyalist to a system in both of them. The deputy president would love to have a strong loyalist on his side who would undertake to defend his administration as he quietly focuses on delivering his manifesto. He would love to operate like the current president.

The Kikuyu legislator has in numerous times appeared to set the record straight as to whether the GEMA nation would support the election of William Ruto as president. In a gesture that support the assentation of William Ruto to the house in the hill, Kimani Ichung’wa has always alluded to the fact that the Jubilee dream of transformation is a 20 year plan with two phase which are to be marshalled by Uhuru and Ruto for each phase.

Kimani Ichung’wa goes to history as a few Members of Parliament who head to the August house unopposed. This is indicative of a politically strong man with a solid backing of his people. This means that the Kikuyu legislator will bring to board a strong vote constituency. It will be advantageous to William Ruto to have a deputy president with little opposition if any in his home turf.
