My husband makes me to run better, athlete Joyciline Jepkosgei tell the church

He is more than a husband, Joyciline Jepkosgei says that her athletic success is the result of her only loving husband and Coach Nicholas Koech.

Admitting his wife’s sentiments, Mr. Koech who spoke to Journalists after prayers at Iten church said that he has been working tirelessly to see that her only athlete wife and trainee get the right dose programs for her to succeed in the highly competitive field.

The couple made the unexpected move which surprised Iten church today making the eyes of her counterparts in athletic industry pop-out.

The visit to the church based on her new training ground was a surprise to many as it has never been such a decision for veteran athletes to fete their success in their local churches.

“Breaking the world record is not something easy. I never expected to break any but I trust in God who gave me all the strength. Today, my dear husband and I have come to thank God for the favors,” 24-year-old Kenyan female long-distance runner said.

Joyciline Jepkosgei Koech broke four records at the Prague Half Marathon with her outstanding 64:52 world record finish.

Many expected an expensive preparation for the millionaire family celebration but then who knows the humility in the proudly Kenyan discipline forces?

The Kenya Defense Force athlete garnered top track position in the recent KDF championships and she is hopeful to grasp the same in the coming national championships scheduled next week at Nyayo Stadium, in Kenya’s capital city Nairobi.
