A wife disrupts a wedding of her husband who was secretly wedding another woman

A mother of two shocked those who had turned up in large numbers to witness a colourful wedding that involved two love birds.

Lydia Mugore on Saturday stormed Kanyama PCEA church in Mathira, Nyeri county claiming to be the bonafide wife of George Kiragu who was wedding in that church at that particular time.

The lady claimed that he has been married to Kiragu for close to ten years and with him, they were blessed with two children.

According to her she had earlier on told the pastor that Kiragu was still his husband and therefore he had no authority of presiding over her husband’s planned wedding with another woman.

She further said that the pastor agreed to bar the two from getting married until the groom sorted out pending issues with the alleged ex-wife.

“I told the pastor not to join the two in holy matrimony after showing him our marriage certificate. In the evening a was called and informed that the wedding was going on, something that prompted me to come here with this two kids so that I can leave them with their father so that I can also get married,” said Lydia.

The woman said that the man ran away from home ditching her before finding a new woman who he was wedding.

In addition, the woman said that the man had abandoned his children without really minding how they were surviving.

Lydia started shouting at the gate of the church as they were denied entry by police officers who just gazed as the drama unfolded.

Residents who witnessed the incident faulted the pastor saying that he was aware that the Kiragu was a married man yet he was joining them. They also blamed the groom for abandoning his family and marrying another wife.

Meanwhile, the pastor said that he had no court order barring him from joining the two, that is why he went ahead to do so.
