United states forces headed to Somalia to neutrilise the large scale attack planned by the Alshaabab militia home and away

United States President Donald Trump has boosted KDF and the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) fight against Al -shaabab militias in Somalia.

Addressing the press on Thursday Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. Jeff Davis said that said that Trump has approved the USA army counterterrorism strikes in Somalia in A bid to support the AMISOM and the Somalia National Army to fight against the Al-Shabaab militia.

This follows the US intelligence report that the terror group is in the final preparation of a large-scale attack on the US and African Union forces.

The terror gang from Somalia has been under surveillance for weeks by the US special operation forces.

White House Press Secretary John Earnest said that the U.S air strike is targeting the Al-Shabaab training campus.

“ The mission of the U.S in Somalia disrupt the militia group agenda of recruiting more fighters, establishing bases and planning attacks on the U.S and AMISOM forces,” said Earnest.

Al-Shabab said that they are determined to intensify their attacks in Somalia and on those countries which their soldiers are serving in the AMISOM.

The militia on Thursday admitted that they tried to bring down a plane in Somalia but they failed.

According to the U.S intelligence, the Al-Shabaab militia has gained more information about modern technology which is believed that if not stopped will cause a havoc in Somalia and outside Somalia.

Capt. Jeff Davis said further said that the US is already working with indigenous forces in Somalia in a train-and-advise capacity to help provide coordination for the airstrikes.
