Think of the dreams you have, and the mark you want to leave in the world. It is an astonishing difference between the dreams we have and the projects that happen. After a vast study of key successful people, there are five things to avoid if you want to achieve your dreams.
1. Believe in overnight success. You may think it’s as simple as Stephen King writing “Carrie” and selling over 350 million copies, Thomas Edison creating a lightbulb or your neighbor applying for a school sponsorship and voila! He got it. Well, if you investigate further, King’s book was consistently rejected 30 times before its first publication, Thomas failed 1,000 times before creating the lightbulb and your neighbor has been taking life and education seriously for the past 16 years. It only worked because of the intense hard work they put prior to their success. It’s never an overnight success. The overnight success is an outcome of everything you’ve been doing in your life within that moment.
