North Eastern cannot cry of marginalisation anymore

North Eastern people are not happy with how the current leadership at the county levels has handled and is continuing to handle their resources.

Rampant mismanagement and corruption have produced poor services, and shoddy work is  denying locals value for their money.

Just like us, future generations will have to put up with poor state of roads, water problems, poor health services among other deliberately unfixed problems.

Sometimes we wonder whether leaders have a conscience. Does it not bother them that in the five years of their leadership they will have done zero work? The people they are mandated to serve will not have an opportunity to enjoy better living.

Before devolution we used to cry that we the people of North Eastern were discriminated and marginalised by the Government. But it is too sad that we are today being made to feel the same way by our own brothers in leadership.

These leaders have refused to learn from past corrupt leaders, all of whom in one way or another, have endured miserable lives.

Our current leaders are a reflection of their communities. They pretend to offer leadership in order to swindle public resources under their watch. They are doing that, though not expressly, but on the blessing of their communities. Their communities come out fighting whenever action is to be taken against them.

But despite what is happening we still have hope that in our midst we have sincere and genuine concerned Kenyans who will selflessly serve North Eastern residents. Come 2017 Kenyans who honestly care and are truly disturbed by the wrong happenings of our country should send all these leaders packing and elect people who are ready to work.
