KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua fired

For years now creatives have been moaning over the leadership of KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua who has been nicknamed ‘Deputy Jesus’ by social media users.

Last night social media was set ablaze when rumours started flying around that Mutua has been fired from his position, rumours which were celebrated all over raising the question, could Ezekiel Mutua be the most hated man in Kenya?

The Kenya Film Classification Board CEO took to his social media pages to deny the rumours and clarify that he is still in office and won’t be leaving anytime soon, and there was no vacancy for his position.

The film regulator said in a short tweet;

"My attention has been drawn to reports on social media to the effect that I have been fired as CEO of KFCB. Please ignore such malicious rumours. I am not aware of such developments and there can be no grain of truth in them as there's no vacancy in the office of the CEO of KFCB." Wrote Ezekiel.

The regulator has a love-hate relationship with netizens as they consider him to be extremely strict and not conversant with the modern days.

However, a new interim CEO has already been appointed to the board, confirming the rumours that Deputy Jesus has been fired!

In an internal memo addressed to KFCB staff members, Christopher Wambua has been named as acting CEO effective Friday the 6th.
