Homa Bay County: Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei has given the green light for construction of a new sugar factory in Homa Bay County.
The factory to be put up at Aoch Muga in West Gem Ward, Rangwe Constituency, is expected to provide employment opportunities for area residents as well as provide a competitive alternative for cane farmers who depend on South Nyanza Sugar Company as the only miller in the region.
