Popular German-based TikToker, Nyako, created a buzz on Thursday when she featured opposition leader Raila Odinga on her TikTok livestream, attracting thousands of viewers.
Nyako, who boasts a massive following of over 200,000, is well-known for her candid and lively TikTok livestreams.
This marked the first time Raila, affectionately known as 'Baba,' appeared on TikTok.
He expressed his excitement about connecting with Kenyan TikTok users, saying, 'It's baba here, talking to you people. Are you guys okay? I am here with a lady from Germany who tells me she is a TikTok champion and that I need to talk to you people. I love you people, and I'm very happy to make your acquaintance. I hope that we can work together and succeed.'
During the livestream, Raila also asked Nyako about her profession. She responded with enthusiasm, 'I'm a news reporter, a socialite, an influencer, a cook, a philanthropist, everything.'
The question of her marital status came up, and Nyako playfully replied, 'No, I'm not married, but I am a proud mother,' eliciting some laughter from the popular TikTok influencer.
On Friday, Odinga encouraged Kenyans on TikTok to continue creating engaging content saying there is a lot to be learnt on the platform.
“Said Hi to the TikTok community, and I've noticed that the content there is truly insightful. Thank you, nyako_pilot1 on the medium. I encourage Kenyans to continue being creative and dynamic,” he wrote.

It's unclear if Nyako and Raila Odinga have any future collaborative plans. However, in a recent post, Nyako revealed her upcoming foundation, aptly named the 'NYYAKO Foundation.'
Despite residing in Germany, she has gained popularity in recent months for her bold and dynamic presence on TikTok. Her philanthropic efforts have also made headlines, particularly for her support of fellow TikTok personality, Brian Chira, by assisting with his rent and mobilizing funds through her TikTok platform to help others in need."
