Olunga, Jepchirchir crowned Most Outstanding In 2020 SOYA Awards

Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga and World Half Marathon record-holder Peres Jepchirchir were named the most outstanding men and women Sports Personalities during the 2020 SOYA Awards.

The two were crown at a ceremony held in Naivasha on Saturday.

Special Olympics athletes Stella Chelangat and Onesmus Munyao were announced as the most outstanding man and woman living with disabilities.

The late athletics and the 1972 Olympic Games steeplechase silver medalist Ben Jipcho and golf legend Rose Naliaka were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Lawyer and Shadrack Wambui took the Community Hero Award for his work in empowering upcoming boxers in Kayole.
