The football fraternity in Kenya has once again been plunged into mourning following the death of Shabana FC defender Evans Obutu.
The National Super League (NSL) side made the announcement on their social media on Monday, August 17, revealing Obutu succumbed after an operation.
Obutu died on Monday night following a serious injury he sustained while playing a village match at Nyamira on August 14.

Team Manager Elijah Sani has urged for calm form the rest of his squad, as they recover from the loss of a key defender.
His body is preserved at Nyangena Hospital Mortuary.
Kenyans have taken to social media to send their messages of condolence, most of who knew Obutu praising his talents.
