Defending champions KCB RFC and the formidable Kabras Sugar RFC have stormed into the quarterfinals of the Dala Sevens after delivering commanding performances on the opening day of the tournament at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, Mambo Leo.

KCB RFC, determined to defend their title, made a strong statement with two decisive victories. The bankers started their campaign by shutting out a spirited Kenyatta University side, Blak Blad, with a 24-0 win in the morning fixture.
