Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar put up an improved second half performance to thrash Homeboyz 37-11 in the Enterprise Cup semifinal played at the Kakamega Showgrounds on Saturday.

Kabras will now face off against KCB who eliminated Impala 20-18 in the other semifinal played in Nairobi.

Victory saw Kabras Sugar reach their second consecutive Enterprise Cup final.

Ironically, Homeboyz and Kabras were to face-off in the semi-final in 2020 edition of the cup competition but the match was called off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In the match, South African fly half Ntabeni Dukisa drilled in three penalties as Kabras narrowly led 9-3 at the break. Brian Ayimba scored Homeboy’s penalty.

The match opened up for the hosts after the restart as Habil Malik landed the first try that Dukisa converted for a 16-3 lead.

Moments later, the visitors got the first try through Keith Wasike for 16-8 score line. Brian Juma’s penalty then helped the side trim the gap to five points.

Kabras would break away after substitute Geoffrey Messo came off the bench scored a try that was converted by Dukisa for a 21-11 lead. Edwin Oyoo and William Opaka crossed over for a 37-11 win.

Kabras will now renew their rivalry with KCB in the finals.
