A section of Kenya Kwanza MPs voted for the Finance Act 2023, but are now pleading ignorance of its consequences. Some have urged their constituents not to pay new taxes on horticultural produce.

And now the chickens have come home to roost as the MPs contend with the wrath of their angry voters, unhappy with the new taxes.
