We all know that smoking, drinking, and stress are bad for us, but evidence is emerging that physical inactivity is associated with a heightened risk of serious illness and death.

According to the World Health Organisation, insufficient physical activity has become the fourth biggest risk factor for mortality in the world, with approximately 3.2 million deaths a year attributable to insufficient physical activity.
