FOOTBALL: Chemelil Sugar sign Tanzania player

Chemelil Sugar has signed Tanzanian national team Taifa Stars mid-fielder Amani Kyata and former Harambee Starlets head coach Juma Abdallah Swalleh ahead of the 2017 Kenya Premier League season.

Club chairman Robert Nyakundi made the disclosure yesterday during an interview with Feverpitch and said players of Nyando Sugar belt premier side Chemelil Sugar FC resumed residential training at Chemelil Sports Complex on Thursday, 5 January.

Chemelil Sugar newly signed lanky mid-fielder Kyata played his last competitive match last week for Tanzanian Vodacom Premier League club Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa Tanzania (JKT)-Ruvu FC against African Lyon, before travelling to Kenya to join the miller’s camp yesterday.
