ALGERIA: Brahimi is named Most Promising Talent

Algerian midfielder Yacine Brahimi was named the Most Promising Talent at the 2014 CAF Awards Gala held on Thursday in Lagos, Nigeria. Brahimi fended off opposition from Cameroonian duo, Clinton N’jie and Vincent Aboubakar to win the coveted prize for the emerging talent of African football. The 24-year old had a stellar churning out some fine performances for club and country. Brahimi is a member of the new generation taking Algeria to dizzy heights. The 24-year old opened his account for new club, FC Porto, with a hat-trick in the opening match of the Uefa Champions League against BATE Borisov of Belarus. He was yet again on target in the 2-0 over Athleric Bilbao.
