Former Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois reveals why he wants Hazard to join him at Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois says he wants Eden Hazard to join him at Real Madrid, and follow the same path he did last summer.

The Belgian goalkeeper turned his back on Chelsea to complete a move to the La Liga giants prior to this season, with the switch seeing Mateo Kovacic join the Blues on loan for the campaign.

Hazard - whose Stamford Bridge contract expires in 2020 - has long been linked with a move to Real, and last month said that he had decided where his future lay, but was not going to reveal it before the end of the campaign.

And now Courtois says he'd welcome a move that would see his international teammate become a club colleague again.

"I don't know if he is going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club want him," he told Onda Cero, via Goal.com, on Wednesday.

"For me, he is a great player, but I don't decide those things.

"Each one decides what he does with his life. For me, he is one of the best in the world and as a friend I would like him to be here."
