Former Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has presaged Italian side Napoli about the threat they face when they take on his old side in the quarterfinals of the Europa League next month.

The Premier League giants were handed a tricky route to Baku where they are tasked with getting past the Serie A runners up in the quarters to meet either Valencia or Villarreal in the semis.

The Frenchman says that he will be supporting his old side when the two meet next month and believes they have what it takes to upset Napoli.

“I will be an Arsenal fan on the night of game against Napoli, just as I have been during all their matches this season, ‘Emery doesn’t need any advice from me, I am a huge fan of Carlo Ancelotti, he’s one of the greatest technicians of all time, a true master in the way he works with his teams, But Arsenal are a great team and for Napoli, it will be a very difficult task to knock them out,” said Wenger.

The London based side came from behind to stun French side Rennes and progress to the quarterfinals.

The Frenchmen appeared to be in the driving seat with a 3-1 home win but the north Londoners upgraded their firepower to overcome their opponents 3-0 and 4-3 on aggregate in the second leg.

The Gunners have no fixtures left in March after their Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers was postponed due to the Wolves’ commitment in the FA Cup.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men beat Manchester United 2-1 on Saturday to reach the semifinals of the competition.

Arsenal will return after the international break with a host of fiddly fixtures including Newcastle, Everton, Napoli and Watford.
