Coast lady junior golfer Alyssa Jamal produced her best form to emerge the winner of the Lady Captain’s (Pauline Gachihi) 2018 prize golf tournament at Nyali Golf and Country Club on Saturday.
The 13-year-old handicap 8 golfer emerged the overall winner on a 17 differential points after carding a 38 nett and 21 stableford points in both nines of the medal and stableford formats.
“It’s an honour to have won this tourney and I take this opportunity to thank my parents and the club for their support over the last two years since I began playing golf," said Jamal.
Home club’s handicap 9 Mary Kandu, on 19 differential points (34-15), was the runner-up, while handicap 8 Christine Ockotch, who had 21 differential points (36-15), was third.
Machakos' Susan Ndolo clinched the Guest winner prize on 17 differential points (35-18) while Nyali’s Lyn Nicholls, on 24 differential points, was the Lady Senior winner.
Leisure’s Naomi Wamboi, on 29 differential points, was the Coast Lady Captain winner.
In the subsidiary section where men teed off from the lady’s tee off, home club’s handicap 16 George Choge produced a sterling course record score of 50 stableford points to claim the men prize.
