BREAKING: Australia to boycott the 2018 FIFA World Cup

The Australian national team may be forced to boycott the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Australia is said to be going through a diplomatic crisis as the federal government has expelled two Russian spies after a poisoning incident in the United Kingdom.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has suggested several tough measures which include the boycotting of the FIFA World Cup.

'There are a whole range of options of further actions that could be taken. The World Cup is one of the further actions,' she said as she responded to questions during an interview on Tuesday

The United States and United Kingdom have expelled over 100 Russian diplomats over the nerve agent attack on former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury, the biggest expulsion since the Cold War.
