Manchester United are open to letting Henrikh Mkhitaryan go - and his former club is in the box seat.

The Armenian has fallen out of favour with Jose Mourinho and there have been claims of a falling out between the two.

The Independent now reports that United are 'willing to let him go for the right deal'.

A return to the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund is said to be his most likely move.

It would follow in the footsteps of the likes of Mario Goetze, Nuri Sahin and Shinji Kagawa, who all left to find pastures elsewhere weren't greener.

The German club has the tendency of signing back their players after they fail to get game time wherever they have gone to. It is aiming at building a proper performance especially after faltering in the Uefa Champions league which led to the firing of their former coach.
