Wrestler John Cena sued for selling his Ford GT supercar

John Cena Shows Off his Low Mileage Ford GT

WWE legend John Cena is being sued by Ford after allegedly selling a £370,000 GT supercar for a huge profit before a strict contract allowed.

The 16-time world champion was one of only 1,000 lucky people specially selected to be offered the chance to purchase the limited-run vehicle.

The company had customers send in applications to buy the supercar and made them sign a contract vowing not to flip the vehicle for a profit.

But the 40-year-old ring veteran is accused of selling it - flouting a rule stating he must keep it for at least two years - soon after taking delivery.

According to Detroit ABC affiliate WXYZ, Ford now want any profits Cena made on the 2017 model - supposedly to pay property bills - returned.

The company said: "Mr Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorised resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale.”

The luxury car features an ecoboost V6 engine made entirely of carbon fibre, making it an extremely light vehicle, despite its supreme power.

Cena was full of praise for the high-tech additions that make it a mean machine that is also road legal, in a video on his wife Nikki Bella 's YouTube channel.

Speaking in his John Cena: Auto Geek series, the wrestler said: “It makes it a race car that you can put a license plate on, which is really fun.”

He said: “I completely understand and as stated am willing to work with Ford to make it right. My sincerest apologies.”

John Cena is on a break from WWE pursuing his acting career and was last seen in action in the main event of Survivor Series .

He was part of Team SmackDown, which lost to Team Raw, in a five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination match.
