La Liga chief Javier Tebas has hit out at PSG's extravagant summer spending - claiming the French giants are guilty of "financial doping".

PSG smashed the world transfer record to sign Neymar from Barcelona, while Kylian Mbappe has also arrived for £160m, although that deal will go through next summer after a loan spell with the club.

La Liga were at the heart of Neymar's shock switch and initially refused to accept the payment of the Brazilian's release clause.

Tebas went public with his criticism and he has again warned something must be done about the Ligue 1 giants.

"We've looked at PSG's accounts and they earn more from sponsorship than Manchester United - that's impossible, that's financial doping," he said at SoccerEx in Manchester.

"UEFA and other institutions, the EU, need to carry out investigations.

"They are laughing at the system. We have caught them peeing in the swimming pool. Neymar has peed from the diving board. We cannot accept this."

Tebas went on to suggest PSG could even sign Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, adding: "Buy-out clauses are higher but if PSG want, they can just open the gas and buy them."
