Tanzania honours Victor Wanyama by naming a street after the Kenyan skipper

Well, seems true heroes are not honored in their home country…Harambee Stars captain and Tottenham Hotspurs’ holding midfielder Victor Wanyama was yesterday honored by our southern neighbors, Tanzania by naming a road after him.

Wanyama sent his heartfelt thanks to the Mayor of Ubungo City Council and promised to make a comeback to the town soon via a WhatsApp video.

He has been in Tanzania for the last couple of days doing personal projects.

He becomes the first Kenyan athlete to have a street named after him both locally and outside Kenya.
