A date from hell?

A miserable date can sting to the point where you feel like you should be compensated by the universe.

But in the wake of romantic calamity, most of us instead choose moan about it to our friends, before picking ourselves up and dusting ourselves off.

But …….Not one Brandon Vezmar.

Brandon wants his "date from hell" to be smote by the long arm of the law and is actually SUING the woman who has incurred his wrath.

A "first date from hell" is a situation which, sadly, many of us are familiar with, and the scope for what makes one so "hellish" is a broad one.

So what did his hapless date do? Apparently, the unnamed woman was texting throughout their cinema trip to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Admittedly it is very annoying when someone is glued to their phone, especially during a film, but we're not sure it merits legal action.

Brandon told the Austin Statesman that not only was his date firing off messages left, right and centre for the duration of the film but she also "activated her phone at least 10-20 times in 15 minutes to read and send text messages."

Not only this, but chivalrous Brandon had also paid for her ticket and pizza.

When Brandon asked her to stop and suggested she go outside if she wanted to continue texting his date left the cinema and drove away.

Calling her bluff backfired somewhat, as Brandon was meant to be getting a lift off her.

After this, Bradon texted her to refund the money he had spent on her or he would sue her.

Having received Brandon's text threatening legal action, the woman replied that her best friend needed her.
