National girls' netball secondary school champions Kaya Tiwi take on Franz Joseph as the Kwale County Term Two ‘A’ games begin today at Samburu School.

Kaya Tiwi (above), who won the Matuga sub-county games last month, have the Coast region crown in their sights. Schools in Kinango, Msambweni, Lunga Lunga, and Matuga sub-counties will be locked in the three-day battle that involves athletics, rugby, netball, handball, and football under-16.

The games calendar was adjusted to ensure that the sports end by July ahead of the August 8 General Election.

Kaya Tiwi’s coach Philip Onyango said his players were ready to begin their title defence.

“We started training after last year’s East Africa games. We are ready to pick up from where we left.”
