 Vera Sidika's body after surgery.

Socialite Vera Sidika has left tongues wagging after posing pictures of her new body following surgery.

Sidika, famously known for having a big bum, posted a photo on Instagram showing a complete transformation.

The mother of one said she had to undergo surgery due to health risks and complications, terming the experience as the "hardest phase in my life."

"The rebirth ... This has been the hardest phase in my life, Due to health risks & complications, I had to undergo surgery. It's Still very unbelievable But I've come to terms with it & learnt to love myself regardless," wrote Sidika.

Vera recently turned 33 and advised women against rushing into things that may ruin their future because of peer pressure.

"I'm lucky to be alive, God loves me so much. Honestly It's been pretty hard, I didn't even celebrate my bday this year, but here we are. Happy birthday to me. New me. I've come to appreciate life & never take things for granted. Thanks to my family, especially my husband for being there for me," she added.

Sika further told her fans that she would share her journey to help those contemplating surgery to get a bigger behind, saying, "this might change your mind."

"I am still the same sweetest Vera Sidika and that hasn't changed. I appreciate y'all love & support & pray you will walk through this journey with me. I will be posting my surgery journey videos here, for those who have been thinking of getting booty surgery or changing anything on their bodies this might change your mind," said Sidika.

Sidika's announcement caused mixed reactions among Kenyans on social media, with some saying she photoshopped the picture and was clout chasing, while others lauded her for putting her health first.

Paulinah said, "I don't buy that Vera Sidika story. That photo is photoshopped. Hivo ndo alitudanganya Ati amekua dark skinned, she is missing the mentions y'all were giving her."

Her sentiments were echoed by Kevin who said, "Any sane person knows that whatever Vera Sidika is currently doing is nothing but pure Showbiz."

"Is that Vera Sidika? We all have our journeys, and whatever hers is, I wish her the best this life can offer," wrote Ramesh Saxena.

"That Vera Sidika's transformation is frightening. She is lucky to be alive. Hope girls are taking notes. Nothing is permanent, just be contented with what you have," said Davy Kiptoo.

Faith Kayle wrote, "Women, learn to accept yourself and your looks, Vera Sidika is undergoing a lot, her new look after surgery scares."

Sidika said she undermined the effects of butt lifting, adding that she would make up excuses as to why other people's surgery procedures failed. To accept her new body, Vera said she went for counselling which made her courageous enough to open up about her journey.

However, Vera has denied clout chasing while replying to someone who commented that it would "hard to sell her personality" and "get gigs."

"It's crazy to see such comments honestly. Are gigs more important than my life, health, seriously," responded Sidika.
