Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has called on Kenyans to go to the ballot knowing the decision they make will impact on their lives.

Speaking in Mogotio, Baringo County, where he addressed a series of rallies, Gideon said any decision made in the August 9 polls will have consequences.

The consequences, he said, though may not be felt immediately after the elections, will eventually come.

Gideon said the General Election is about the over 50 million Kenyans and urged the electorate to be wise in the decision they make and on the kind of leaders they pick.

“Think about yourselves, vote with yourselves in mind, don’t be carried away by the political waves,” Gideon said.

The Kanu chairman urged Kenyans to listen to all political candidates, vet them based on their manifesto and make a decision.

Gideon, who is defending his seat, called on the locals to continue supporting his political ambition, saying although he is not in government he uses his connections to their benefit.

He said through his connections, the people of Baringo have benefited from a Sh7.8 billion road projects. Included in the projects is the Kamukunji-Kisanana-Mugurin road.

He said at least 107 individuals in Baringo County have been employed through his connections in various government agencies in the past one year.

Earlier, Gideon attended a church service at Kisanana AIC, where he called on the church to pray for the country as it heads to the elections. At the church he steered off politics, saying it will pass but God’s word will remain for eternity.
