Police searching for man after decomposing body of his wife was found locked in house

Police in Naivasha are seeking a 35-year-old man after the decomposing body of his wife was found locked in her house after missing for three days.

The suspect who is said to be a mason is suspected of murdering the wife by hitting her using a blunt object before friends found the body on Monday morning.

The woman was last seen on Friday evening when they had an argument with the husband whose whereabouts is still unknown.

The incident comes barely a month after a man went berserk and killed his lover and daughter in the same estate by strangling them.

In the latest incident, the suspect according to a neighbor Joshua Kuria was involved in a heated argument with the wife over some missing cash.

He said that this was the norm for the two adding that since Friday evening the duo was not seen with their house locked from the outside.

“A friend to the woman came to visit her and on opening the door which was locked from the outside found the body and started screaming,” he said.

Area Chief Hassan Guyo confirmed the incident adding that police had taken over the issue and were seeking the husband to record a statement.

He decried the rising number of murder cases during domestic quarrels around the estate that is home to hundreds of flower farms workers terming them as worrying.

“From initial investigations, it’s evident that the woman was hit at the back of the head using a blunt object but police are investigating the incident,” he said.
