KCSE student goes into labour in exam room

As the nationwide secondary examinations enters its third week, a student at a local school in Keiyo district was forced to write her paper in a maternity ward after she went into labour.

The 19-year-old student of Kabulwo secondary school started sweating profusely while complaining of stomach pains as she was doing her mid-morning English paper.

She was rushed outside the examination room for first aid oblivious she was in labour and later rushed to Iten district hospital where the labour pains persisted.

Thomas Ngetich, the school principal said the student ad been out of school since the term began when it became apparent that she was not able to concentrate in her studies.

The principal said the student was rushed to Iten District Hospital where she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and continued with her examinations.
