Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to rule out a move for Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish.

Grealish scored a stunning opening goal as Villa held Manchester United to a point at Old Trafford.

The Villa star has been linked with a possible move to United, with Solskjaer keen to continue a transfer strategy of bringing in young British talent.

Solskjaer was asked about his interest in Grealish at full-time but unsurprisingly remained coy.

"I can't talk too much about other teams' players if they're Man United caliber or targets," Solskjaer said.

"But fantastic goal, I think he hit one of them corners I hit a couple of times.

"It was a great finish, but we should defend better, show him down the left.

"But what a goal and he played a good game."

Grealish's excellent form has led to further calls for him to be in Gareth Southgate's plans for Euro 2020.

And Villa boss Dean Smith has suggested his captain is making it difficult for England to ignore him.

“All Jack can control are his performances and if he keeps performing the way he is, he puts more pressure on the people choosing those squads,” said the Villa boss. “I don’t envy them with the talent they have to pick from. But for me, Jack is getting better and better.

“He’s a top player and when you have top players you get performances at places like this.

“He scored a super goal, but it’s what I’ve come to expect from him. Then he misses a chance he scores 99 out of 100."
