Raila piles more pressure to have IEBC servers opened to audit poll

Speaking in Nyahera, Kisumu during the burial of Luo council Ker Willis Otondi, Raila said the country cannot go to another election with an IEBC constituted by President Ruto as an individual.

"Ruto has stolen my victory and I will go after it. The whistleblower has spoken and now the truth is in the public domain. I want you to believe the whistleblower, I am confident about it. The whistleblower came with machines and they got the real results."

He added: "When the court verdict was being given, we still did not have the truth but once we got the factual results, I stood and rejected his government and termed his presidency illegitimate. He is saying he cannot open the servers because there is no law yet there is a dispute over the outcome of the election."

Raila said in the next four days, he will give his supporters a strong direction on what to do.

His sentiments were echoed by Siaya Governor James Orengo who also dared Ruto to open the servers. "If you won the election open the servers."

Orengo noted that the country voted for Raila in huge numbers including the Mt Kenya region where he claimed the most votes were stolen from.

"He is taking Kenyans for a ride without a clear plan on how to around the economy. Look at the things he promised to handle like the price of maize flour which keeps rising," he added.

At the same time, Orengo took issue with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua whom he accused of using every opportunity to insult Raila at every public gathering.

They were responding to Ruto who had two days ago trashed Raila's claims that he should open the serves for an audit to be conducted.

President Ruto has said the demands to open IEBC servers were also unlawful.

Meanwhile, ODM leaders continue to make calls for Luo unity urging the community to rally behind Raila as their leader.

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga argued that there Azimio leader is the only bona fide leader who can lead them and bring development projects to the area.

"When Raila was in the Grand Coalition government we saw very many development milestones, the same also happened when Raila was in handshake with former President Uhuru Kenyatta because we saw the port. We have seen devolution through him. Those others cannot purport to have the power to direct us anywhere," she added.

Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko hit out at party rebels who went to meet Ruto at State House as selfish, while Migori Senator Eddie Oketch said only Raila carries all the aspirations of the Luo community, urging the entire community and it's leadership to remain steadfast behind him.

Also present was Senator Oburu Oginga, Senator Moses Kajwang, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, Kisumu Women Rep Ruth Odinga, Kisumu West MP Rosah Buyu among other leaders.
