Raila Odinga gets more votes in Tiaty, Baringo than William Ruto

Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila Odinga got more votes in Tiaty Constituency, Baringo County than what his main rival William Ruto of UDA had.

Odinga got 25,282 votes against Ruto's 5,708, a difference of 19,574.

George Wajackoyah of Roots Party got 104, while David Mwaure of Agano Party got 30 votes.

The constituency had 39,059 registered voters, with the voter turnout recorded as 31,181. As a result, the sub-county's voter turnout stood at 79.8 per cent.

Some 56 votes were rejected.

In Kapseret Constituency, Uasin Gishu County, Odinga also posted considerably high votes in an area perceived to be Ruto's stronghold.

Odinga got 14,900 votes against Ruto's 35,218.

In Kapseret, the registered voters were 74,933, with the voter turnout recorded as 50,576 (67.5 per cent).

Some 306 votes were rejected.

George Wajackoyah got 92 votes in Kapsaret, while David Mwaure got 60 votes.

The results were announced on Sunday morning, August 14 by IEBC vice-chairperson Juliana Cherera.
