NASA demands removal of unlawful ‘results’ from IEBC website

NASA has demanded that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) immediately halt streaming of the ‘so- called’ provisional presidential election results.

In a statement to the press, NASA said they are pleased with Chairman Wafula Chebukati’s assurance that the Commission will investigate the hacking and results transmission issues that NASA has identified as the cause of the distortions in the posted figures.

The Alliance insisted that the only results that should be posted are those verified and backed by Form 34, which contains the signatures of parties’ agents at the polling sites; results transmitted on any other basis have no lawful foundation since Form 34 is part of the verification documents.

NASA also pointed to the bizarre phenomenon that Uhuru Kenyatta’s “lead” stayed a consistent 11 percent ahead of NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga throughout the evening. It never went up to 12 or 13 percent or down to 9 or 10 percent.

“In the hacking that was described in detail in our earlier statement, we pointed out that an algorithm was introduced which basically amounted to a formula creating a fixed gap in favour of Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Salim Lone, adviser to NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga.

“There are of course other serious anomalies that we have pointed out that distorted the figures of the presidential poll. But those above rise to a level of distortion and fraud that require the complete negation of the figures that have been posted,” added Lone.

NASA emphasized its demand that the IEBC streaming of the presidential poll figures be immediately abandoned until the anomalies, which have made meaningless the electoral process, are investigated and resolved.

NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga said, “The electoral fraud and fabrication of results was massive and extensive.”

Salim Lone, adviser to NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga pointed out again that the Alliance’s tallying shows that Raila Odinga is almost a million votes ahead of Uhuru Kenyatta.

They also noted with concern that in the 2013 election, Kenyans will recall that the electoral commission refused to meet with CORD to receive evidence of the many voting irregularities in its possession.

NASA however urged its supporters to stay calm and not take any actions that would provoke the use of force.
