Parliament has suspended the contract for the Sh14.7 billion security surveillance system awarded to a mobile service provider that President Uhuru Kenyatta has been advertising, citing procurement queries.
The decision knocks the wind out of President Kenyatta’s campaign in which he has been warning criminals to “run and hide” because there will be increased surveillance in the country once the system is rolled out.
