Man seen flashing dollars in video not Governor Roba’s son, says Chief of Staff

Mandera County Chief of staff David Ohito has dismissed claims that a young man seen in a viral video flaunting bundles of 100-dollar notes in a car is son to Mandera Governor Ali Roba.

The video shows a suave-looking bearded young man of Somali descent in dark glasses flashing dollar notes in a Bentley continental worth about approximately Sh22 million.

Other cars paraded in the video include the Mercedes Benz E350, Lexus 570 and the stash of Dollars.

“This is fake news. Governor Roba has very young children non in the driving age bracket. This is cheap propaganda by desperate keyboard warriors out to tarnish his name,” said Mr Ohito.

Ohito has denied any relations between the young man whose video has the handle @war_same(|Warsame) a name he says is not in the Roba family.

“The name Warsame is strange in Roba's family ancestry. I am on record. Roba is a very polished breed of a leader, not your ordinary Kenya market place politician,” declared Ohito.

The news comes at a time when Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his four sons have been charges over alleged Sh 73 million graft case.
