Naivasha safe for business, traders told

Members of the Naivasha Professional Association (NPA) led by secretary Absolom Mukuusi address press

NAIVASHA, KENYA: Naivasha Professional Association (NPA) is now calling on traders in the town to fully reopen their businesses as life was back to normal after the general elections.
The association has also called on flower farm workers who had left the town to either go vote or had fled to return as the area was very safe.
The association that represents various sectors admitted that business had been adversely affected by the election fever noting that this was now over.
This emerged when the association leaders addressed the press at Dreamland hotel after meeting security officials where safety was assured.
According to the NPA secretary Absolom Mukuusi, all those traders who had not opened their jobs should do so with immediate effect.
"Naivasha had been categorised as one of the volatile areas but we have proven everyone wrong and we want our members to reopen their businesses," he said.
The group chairman Eskimos Kobia echoed the sentiments adding that many businesses had been adversely affected by the election fever.
"Landlords are suffering after many workers left the town but we are now calling on all that Naivasha is very safe and peaceful," he said.
