Police are looking for the killers of a taxi driver whose body was found with a bullet wound in his car in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

Richard Otieno was hired from Westgate in Westlands on Tuesday night by two men who said they wanted to go to Loreto Msongari area but failed to return.

His body was found in the backseat of his saloon car with a bullet wound in the neck yesterday morning. The killers are at large.

Witnesses along Kandara Road where the body was discovered said they saw four men disembark and walk away. The men left the engine of the car running, which aroused the attention of guards nearby.

Otieno’s colleagues said he was hired by the men who said they were going to Loreto.  Samuel Njoroge, a taxi driver, said the men came at about 7pm on Tuesday.

“They asked for the charges and one of our colleagues asked for Sh800, but they said they had Sh500. Otieno agreed to take them,” said Njoroge.

Kilimani Head of CID Harisson Meme said no arrest had been made.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged IT expert was Tuesday shot dead by gunmen and robbed of his laptop computer in Umoja Estate, Nairobi.
