Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has thanked President William Ruto for appointing him to oversee the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs docket in yesterday’s Cabinet reshuffle.

In a statement on Thursday, October 5, Mudavadi acknowledged being aware of the responsibilities ahead, promising to carry out his dual role to the best of his ability.

"I am grateful for the confidence and trust the President has shown in my ability and pledge to carry out my duties with unwavering commitment, integrity, and diligence," he said.

At the same time, the Prime CS reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to Kenyans that he will serve in both dockets with utmost sincerity and prioritize the interests of Kenyans both within the country's borders and abroad.

"With the collective efforts of my dedicated Cabinet colleagues and the support of the Kenyan people, I am confident that we will achieve great strides in making Government serve Kenyans," said the CS.

Mudavadi will now double as Foreign and Diaspora Affairs CS after his predecessor Alfred Mutua was moved to the Tourism and Wildlife docket.
