More board appointments and revocations as William Ruto picks names to lead parastatals

President William Ruto has made more appointments to the parastatals on February 10, 2023. [File, Standard]

President William Ruto on Friday, February 10 made more appointments in the leadership of key parastatals as he continues to push out Uhuru Kenyatta's appointees and replace them with his people.

In the latest list of appointees, Daniel Rono is now be the chairperson of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) for a period of three years, replacing Mary Chao Mwadime, who was appointed to the position in April 2021 by former President Kenyatta. Mwadime's three-year term was yet to expire.
